The sole mission of the The Friends of the L.C.Bates Museum is to raise funds to support the programs, historic building repairs and operations of the L.C.Bates Museum. In 2009, a group of community members established the Friends of L.C.Bates Museum, a membership and fundraising organization.

Each of the Friends has skills that they use to further enhance the operation of the museum. Some of us are good with a hammer and paintbrush, some are photographers, others help clean and organize exhibits. Some help to run the on-going programs and summer camps.
